Tea Party
"What just happened?"
Overheard at the end of the opening performance of Otter Control one year ago, this question sets the stage for Otter Control's new performance, Chapter Two "Tea Party".
The basic premise of Tea Party is to answer unanswered questions that arose from Chapter One, a step back in time if you may. As a for instance, how did Frisky get the position of assistant to Raleigh? How was Charlotte able to pull off being a human? And just what is the relationship between Raven and Groover?
The opening song, Ritchie Getcha Poodle, is a song of reflection and introspection, symbolic of purported lost opportunities of original commitments in the pursuit of enjoyment. It is a flash forward in time to a post life moment of thinking of what could have been, had one pursued the original set of dreams, instead of following the course. Ritchie and Frisky are reminiscing of early days, before perceived responsibilities obscured their visions.
Otter Control is at the Muse this Saturday, for the opening performance of their 2013 Summer Tour. In the tradition of the band, their opening evening is April 20. Otter Control is excited to welcome back DJ Raven for a guaranteed evening of dancing pleasure. Oh yes, and there is rumored to be a special guest appearance of HaF aST. I guess you'll just have to go to see.
